The United States Army has revealed it is training Syrian Kurds to operate prisons inside the U.S. controlled area of Kurdish Syria!

U.S. Army photo by Sergeant First Class Nicholas J. De La Pena, 03JAN2023.

The U.S. funded Kurdish Security Forces, also known as Asayish Law Enforcement, ‘graduated’ its first prison guard class on 03JAN2023, under the observation of U.S. Army Detention Capabilities Assessment Teams (DCAT): “Asayish partners and Detention Capabilities Assessment Teams conducted law enforcement fundamentals courses to equip correctional-force members with skills needed to secure Syria and the region against ISIS. Correctional force training focuses on scenarios such as use of force levels, cell extraction, and internal escort procedures.”-Sergeant First Class Andrew Stark, U.S. NCO in charge of DCAT in Syria

The U.S. funded Asayish Law Enforcement Training Academy course began in December 2022. More than 140 men and women graduated on 03JAN2023.

Also in December 2022, the U.S. funded Asayish Law Enforcement Training Academy graduated its first Syrian Internal Security Forces (SISF) class.  The U.S. Army claims credit for creating the 15-day-long course for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The U.S. Army claims that by establishing the Asayish Law Enforcement Training Academy it will help Kurds fight extremists, and maintain order in detention centers across northeast Syria.  This is not the first time the U.S. has been connected to prison operations inside Syria!

Human Rights Watch says Asayish was actually established in 1993 by an agreement between Iraqi Kurds and Syrian Kurds. Asayish has been operating what are essentially political prisons holding people accused of going against the Iraqi and Syrian Kurdish establishment, at least before the NATO-instigated Syrian insurgency in 2011.

The U.S. openly supports the rebel group Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which was created by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (Yekîneyên Parastina Gel, YPG) in 2015, according to the European Union Agency for Asylum.  Asayish has been supporting SDF/YPG operations with traffic police, counter-terror forces, checkpoint security, general security and anti-organized crime.

World War 3: NATO ‘pallet’ launches J-A-S-S-M, for first time!

“The future is going to be different than what we have experienced for the last 20 years….”-Lieutenant General Jim Slife, U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command, during the most recent iteration of ATREUS

Oklahoma Air National Guard photo by Technical Sergeant Brigette Waltermire, 09NOV2022.

On 09NOV2022, U.S. Special Operations Command Europe conducted the first-ever demonstration of the ‘palletized’ launching system of the AGM-158 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) ‘bunker buster’ in NATO Europe (specifically NATO Norway).

Palletized JASSM being loaded onto a NATO Poland C-130 Hercules, in Powidz, Poland. U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sergeant Brandon Julson, 08NOV2022.

This is part of the U.S. European Command’s Operational Series ATREUS: “This effort is meant to increase integration of both conventional and Special Operations Forces from participating nations and enhance interoperability with our NATO allies and European partners. ….ATREUS training events enable effective responses for any contingency, as well as continuation of training, and increased readiness and collective defense.”-Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence Melnicoff, Operation ATREUS ‘lead’

Even though the U.S. military spells ATREUS in all caps, it is not an acronym, it is the ancient Greek god of war.  It is silly that Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence Melnicoff stated that Operation ATREUS was “routine engagements”, as the first ATREUS exercise began in April 2021.  However, there have already been seven ATREUS ‘iterations’ in NATO Europe since then!  And apparently, ATREUS is meant to be a global operation: “Participation from our allies is the cornerstone of ATREUS iterations. Poland, Romania, and the United Kingdom have been regular participants in the most recent ATREUS iterations throughout 2021 and 2022, but the global effort with our fellow geographic combatant commands makes this a historic demonstration of allied solidarity worldwide.”-Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence Melnicoff, Operation ATREUS ‘lead’

Palletized JASSM being loaded onto a NATO Poland C-130 Hercules, in Powidz, Poland. USAF photo by Staff Sergeant Brandon Julson, 08NOV2022.

During the most recent iteration of ATREUS, the U.S. Air Force’s (USAF) 67th Special Operations Squadron, 352d Special Operations Wing, demonstrated the Rapid Dragon Palletized Effects System (RDPES), using the latest JASSM cruise missile.  The RDPES is an experimental system that allows special operations cargo planes, like the MC-130J Commando-2 (a combat variant of the Super Hercules), to carry and launch cruise missiles.  The USAF is already using the system inside The Arctic Circle, and now in NATO Europe.

Silent U.S. Air Force video, by Staff Sergeant Izabella Workman, showing how the JASSM is launched from a MC-130J.  Notice at first it looks like a supply drop, but then the JASSMs start flying out of the pallet, then impact the water.  Andøya Space Defense Range, Norway, 09NOV2022:

In June 2022, the JASSM was test launched from an Arizona Air National Guard F-16 Falcon.  The test was conducted from Hill Air Force Base (AFB), in Utah.

The JASSM has been in use, by the U.S., since 2009.  Australia, Finland, and Poland, began stockpiling them in 2014 (same year as the NATO backed coup in Ukraine).  In April 2018, two USAF B-1B Lancer bombers launched 19 JASSMs against Syria’s military.

On 25FEB2022, JASSMs were delivered to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. USAF video report by Technical Sergeant Anthony Plyler:

World War 3: Iran’s ‘Kamikaze’ Drones?

01 November 2022 (01:19-UTC-07 Tango 06) 10 Aban 1401/06 Rabi ‘ath-Thani 1444/08 Xin-Hai 4720/01 ноября 2022 года

This year there is a lot of talk in the Western-NATO news media about Iranian ‘Kamikaze’ drones (UAV, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) being used by Russia.  Maybe it is because in March of this year, Iran actually revealed what their own news media calls Kamikaze drones.

Photo via Tasnim News Agency, 06MAR2022.

The actual official name of these UAVs is Me’raj-504.  Me’raj means ‘ascension’, not Kamikaze.  It was designed for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), it is considered an upgrade of the Me’raj-214 UAV.  They are used specifically to target air defense systems.  The Me’raj-504 can carry a bomb with up to an equivalent explosive force of 2.5kg of TNT over a 100-kilometers flightpath.

The biggest advancements in the new design is a great reduction in cost, and time, to build.

The problem I have with the use of the word Kamikaze is that it is totally psychological on both the Western-NATO governments/news media, and Iran’s news media.  The official meaning of Kamikaze is ‘Divine Wind’, coming from two failed attempts by the Mongol Empire to invade Japan.  Both times a typhoon struck just as the Mongol ships arrived off Japan, destroying them. Thus it was divine intervention using the wind.

However, ever since the end of World War Two, the Western world associates Kamikaze with suicide.  In desperation, during the last couple years of the war, Japan formed a suicide squadron; pilots who were trained to deliberately use their aircraft as bombs. They were officially called Kamikaze as in a Divine Wind to save Japan, but the victorious Western allies took it to mean suicide.

U.S. Navy (USN) silent film, made between 1944 and 1945, shows a Kamikaze just missing a U.S. battleship, and then striking the side of an aircraft carrier. The USN likes to boast that no Kamikaze succeeded in sinking a ‘major’ U.S. ship:

Perhaps the Iranian news media is using Kamikaze in the Divine Wind sense? The Western-NATO news media is certainly using it in the suicide-terrorist sense.

Biden’s War: Pennsylvania Division Deployed!

On 09OCT2022, Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s 28th Infantry Division held a deployment ceremony.  The oldest division sized unit in the United States is being deployed for Operation Spartan Shield. The U.S. Army side of Operation Spartan Shield is called Task Force Spartan, which is dependent upon part time Army National Guard and Army Reserve units.

The more than 5-hundred Pennsylvania Militia personnel will join other Guard units from around the U.S. already serving, or deploying, under Task Force Spartan.

Pennsylvania Army National Guard photo by Captain Travis Mueller, 09OCT2022.

The commander of the 28th Infantry Division, Major General Mark McCormack, ignorantly and arrogantly stated “…the presence of American soldiers helps to calm things wherever that volatility happens to be…”, forgetting that much of the world’s volatility can be traced to the yet to be officially declared War on Terror, and, that it is a direct result of “the presence of American soldiers.”

Captain Travis Mueller’s video of the ceremonies:

But Major General Mark McCormack, also, in the same statement, admitted “We have an interest in the region, we have partners in the region and our deployment is to reassure partners.”

In this video interview, by Captain Travis Mueller, the Major General also reveals that Operation Spartan Shield involves nine countries:
