Smoke ’em if you got ’em!: Pocatello Airport Fire Bombers are Back!

The sky around eastern Idaho is socked in with smoke as the 2017-18 wildfire season roars up (I don’t think I’ve ever seen it so smokey around here, and I’ve been here 20 years).  The water bombing aircraft based at Pocatello Airport were busy during daylight; non-stop landings, reloading, take-offs, for hours on-end until dark.

World’s largest C-141B Starlifter model?

In June 2016, members of the USAF’s 437th Maintenance Squadron sheet metal and corrosion shop at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, got a new project; restore an old C-141B model.

The giant model was originally built back in the day when the USAF used C-141 Starlifters.  It was built to represent a C-141 that crashed in 1982, killing its crew.

After only a few months the model was fully restored in August 2016.

Airman 1st Class Drew Maifeaphomsamouth, Technical SergeantAndrew Finley, Airman 1st Class Michael Mooney, Airman 1st Class Shawn Casey, Airman Riley Carter and Senior Airman William Treiber were proud to have restored what might be the world’s largest C-141 model.

“This Aerospace Control Alert CrossTell Exercise presents an invaluable opportunity for us to further our working and training relationships with our interagency partners to include the Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Coast Guard, ACA-qualified units, and the Civil Air Patrol.”-Brigadier General Paul Ormsby, Royal Canadian Air Force and deputy commander of Continental U.S. NORAD Region (that’s right, this British empire Red Coat is deputy commander of United States North American Aerospace Defense Command!)

Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182 Skylane, Cross Tell Event.

“We were able to execute 3 days’ worth of flying with 2 ‘Goes’ per day, fighters, Civil Air Patrol, helicopter units in a very important training exercise that supports operation Noble Eagle homeland defense mission.”-Brigadier General Daniel J. Orcutt, USAF’s 1st Air Force (aka ConR[ConUS Region]-1AF, or AFNorth)

From 23-25 MAY 2017 state Air Guard units, Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Secret Service and even British empire’s Royal Canadian Air Force took part in Aerospace Control Alert CrossTell Event.  The ‘event’ simulated a national temporary flight restriction (TFR) emergency.

During the war-game Civil Air Patrol (CAP) aircraft acted as intruder aircraft, while National Guard and Coast Guard aircraft played the interceptor roles. It’s all part of Operation Noble Eagle, which is in response to the False Flag event known as September 11th, or 9/11.  Noble Eagle is a joint operation between U.S. and Canada.

Canadian Brigadier General Paul Ormsby (that’s right, a British empire Canadian is in charge of defending U.S. airspace!) has some advise for civilian pilots who accidentally fly into restricted U.S. airspace: “First, remain predictable, maintain your current altitude, heading, and airspeed; next turn your radio to the guard frequency, 121.5, to talk with the fighter or helicopter; finally, comply with instructions from the fighter or helicopters to exit the flight restricted airspace safely.”

‘Taxpayers’ rescue pregnant deer trapped in coastal rocks!

31 May 2017 (11:57 UTC-07 Tango 06) 10 Khordad 1396/05 Ramadan 1438/06 Yi Si(5th) 4715

Somehow a pregnant deer got trapped among the craggy rocks along the Manistee River shoreline, in Michigan.

In this pic you can see how the deer blends in with the rocks, it doesn’t look good for the deer at this point.

Today, a group of taxpayer funded U.S. Coast Guard personnel were on their way to a training event when they spotted something odd moving among the rocks.  It was a pregnant deer.

A routine day of rescue training turned into a real rescue operation.

The taxpayer funded first responders put their training day to good use, rescuing the stuck deer and releasing it in a nearby field.  The deer has scarring on its belly from where its fur was rubbed off during its own effort to escape the potentially deadly grip of stone.

Exhausted deer, with fresh scars from its ordeal.

Bodies were found everywhere after an ‘improvised’ tactical nuke exploded!

On the morning of 25 APR 2017 what’s being called an improvised nuclear bomb exploded near Butlerville, Indiana.

Nearly 6-thousand active duty, reserve and militia personnel from all branches of the service were called in to conduct massive search and rescue ops.

Wounded silly-vilians also had to undergo CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) decontamination procedures, before they could be treated for their more obvious injuries.

Fake!  It was part of the massive Guardian Response 17 war-game at  Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Indiana.  However, this was just one of dozens of CBRN (back in the Cold War we called it NBC, nuclear biological chemical) training events held across the U.S., and with other NATO ‘partners’, so far this year!
