Since 1996 Singapore has based a small unit at the Grand Prairie Army Aviation Support Facility in Dallas.  They’ve helped out the Texas National Guard with other natural disasters like Hurricane Floyd in 1999, fire and flood operations in Texas in 2000, and Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

The U.S. Army’s 63rd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, based out of Fort Stewart, Georgia, are in Texas right now as part of Army North’s hurricane command center.  They are currently prepping Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone systems in anticipation of Hurricane Irma.

t was once called the Confederate Air Force (formerly Confederate Air Corps), but for politically correct reasons the name was changed to Commemorative Air Force (CAF) in 2002.

CAF’s mission is normally to restore old combat planes, but on 02SEP2017 they used one of their restored birds to deliver food aid to victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The U.S. Army Reserve’s Echo Company, 7th Battalion (General Support Aviation Battalion) 158th Aviation Regiment joined with the Commemorative Air Force in loading up an old C-47 cargo plane to bring supplies to people in the Orange area of Texas.

‘Bluebonnet Belle’ delivered 3-thousand-8-hundred pounds of supplies to the residents in the area of Orange, Texas.

The CAF C-47 is operated by the Highland Lakes chapter, based in Burnet, Texas.

Update:  On 21JUL2018, the ‘Bluebonnet Belle’ crashed and burned while taking off from its home port of Burnet, Texas. News reports said nobody was hurt.

The British empire’s (Commonwealth of Nations, aka The Commonwealth) Royal Canadian Air Force (also a member of NATO) delivered supplies to Texas.   Official USAF video report:

Harvey: Beaumont catastrophe

Texas Army & Air National Guard set up a field hospital in the parking lot of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Beaumont, due to the hospital being damaged by Harvey

By 02 SEP 2017 U.S. Army Reserve personnel assisted in more than 7-hundred evacuations of people, 170 pets, and transported more than 1-hundred emergency personnel to critical locations.

Due to the unprecedented flooding, and the failure of Beaumont’s fresh water pumps, there is no drinkable water.  Video of Army Reserve CH-47 Chinook loaded with volunteers delivering 49 U.S. tons of fresh water (supposedly donated by an “anonymous billionaire”) to Beaumont, 02 SEP 2017:

“We got the call to come over to east Texas, into Beaumont, Lumberton and Port Arthur areas. So we’ve been doing humanitarian missions, going out with the swift water rescue survival team and finding areas that traditional military vehicles cannot get in and out of. The amphibious assault vehicles help us get to those areas.”-Gunnery Sergeant Alan Daigle, USMC Reserve

Marines rescued almost 1-thousand-3-hundred people and countless pets/livestock from the affected areas.
