World War 3, Asian Front-Afghanistan, 17-20 March 2014: More U.S. Drone strikes! Security guards behind hotel attacks? Taxpayers funding Ghost Workers!

Faryab Province: In Maimanah City, an explosion killed 18 people, wounded 48.  It was caused by a motorcycle bomb.  Police claim they prevented a second explosion.  The attack targeted the local Energy & Water Department.

Ghazni Province: In Ghazni City, a cop and a civilian were killed by an exploding bicycle.  Seven people wounded.  The attack targeted the Andar District’s Criminal Investigation Department.

Helmand Province:  NATO claims it shutdown the last of its MOB (Mobile Operating Base).  British empire Red Coats also abandoned their bases at Lashkar Gah and Lashkar Gah Durai.

Kabul Province: In Kabul City, the upscale Serena Hotel was attacked by four people.  They were killed. Four foreign hotel workers were also killed.  Two cops and one foreign hotel worker were wounded.  Even though Mujahideen took credit for the attack, police actually suspect the private security guard company hired by the hotel!

Kunar Province: In Ghaziabad District, local government forces announced they called in a U.S. drone strike that killed two people, and wounded several others.

Nangarhar Province: In Jalalabad City, the local Police District 1 station was attacked.   Mujahideen first attacked with a car bomb, then a gun battle with cops.  Seven Mujahideen killed, 10 cops killed and one student killed.  22 cops wounded.

John Sopko, the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), has discovered that U.S. taxpayers are paying for employees that don’t even exist: “I am writing to express my concern that the U.S. may be unwittingly helping to pay the salaries of non-existent members of the Afghan National Police.”
