Is the Army National Guard digging for Dinosaurs in Utah?

It was officially a Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) event that just happened to occur during yearly ‘summer camp’ for the Utah Army National Guard.

From 06JUN2022 to 16JUN2022, Utah’s 116th Engineer Company-1457th Engineer Battalion dug up several sites at Dinosaur National Monument, near Vernal.

But, the Utah Army Engineers were not looking for dinosaurs, they were helping the National Park Service’s Dinosaur National Monument to become more functional, and more compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act: “We started with the demolition and took out all the fixtures. We discovered an ant infestation, so we decided to remove all the old framing. Then it was on to electrical and plumbing.”-Staff Sergeant Kaydee Taylor
