World War 3: Israel to go ahead with oil drilling off Lebanon, claims ignorance when telling lies

Israeli Energy Minister Uzi Landau, threatened that Israel will go ahead and establish oil rigs off the coast of Lebanon. Turkey has already said it would help Lebanon protect its territorial water.

Uzi Landau blatantly lied about who has rights to the area: “It hasn’t been claimed even by Lebanon, and the Turks too…”

Lebanon made it known in August 2010, where their territorial maritime boundaries are.  Israel ignored those boundaries and drew up their own Mediterranean borders, which conveniently angled the northern Israeli maritime boundary past Lebanon’s ground borders into the recently discovered oil/gas fields off Lebonon’s coast.

On September 5, Lebanon issued a statement with the United Nations: “The Israeli claim infringes on Lebanon’s Exclusive Economic (sea) Zone. This is a clear violation of Lebanon’s rights… over an area of some 860 square kilometers, and puts international peace and security at risk.”

Also, Turkey has already stated that it would help Lebanon defend that area of the Mediterranean from Israeli oil operations.

So, Israeli Energy Minister Uzi Landau’s claim that know one has claimed the maritime territory off Lebanon’s coast is typical of Israeli lies cloaked in ignorance.

World War 3: Turkey will challenge Israel’s navy, says Israel will not stop next Gaza aid flotilla!

“Turkish warships, in the first place, are authorized to protect our ships that carry humanitarian aid to Gaza. From now on, we will not let these ships to be attacked by Israel, as what happened with the Freedom Flotilla.”-Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Turkey

Erdogan said that Turkey will boost its naval presence in eastern Mediterranean to challenge Israel’s domination in the sea.

In a reference to Israeli plans to exploit huge gas and oil reserves found beneath the Mediterranean Sea, that are claimed by Lebanon, Erdogan said Turkish forces will also stop Israel from exploiting natural resources in the area.

On July 26 Lebanon issued similar warnings to Israel: “We warn Israel against extending its hands to this area to steal Lebanon’s resources from Lebanese waters.”-Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah Secretary General

The Turkish prime minister indicated that Israel’s claim to all the resources of the Mediterranean is what will lead to war: “You know that Israel has begun to declare that it has the right to act in exclusive economic areas in the Mediterranean. You will see that it will not be the owner of this right, because Turkey, as a guarantor of the Turkish republic of north Cyprus, has taken steps in the area, and it will be decisive and holding fast to the right to monitor international waters in the east Mediterranean.”

Palestine opens Embassy in Lebanon

“The Palestinian flag is now flying in Lebanon’s heart and the heart of every Lebanese who loves Palestine.”-Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian Authority Chief

As far as Lebanon is concerned Palestine is a legitimate country.  August 17, the Palestinian people opened an embassy in Beirut.

So far 100 countries have recognized Palestine as a country.  The only way to get recognition from the United Nations, is if the U.S. controlled Security Council recognizes a Palestinian state.  U.S. officials have stated they won’t let that happen.

Hezbollah preparing for downfall of Syrian government

“As far as we know, Hezbollah has now accumulated around 45,000 missiles of various ranges. There is one of them with a range which goes beyond 350 kilometers, which, according to them at least, can reach all of Israel till Eilat in the south of the country.”-Dr. Yoram Kahati, Israel’s International Institute for Counter-Terrorism

Intelligence analyst say Lebanon’s Hezbollah, are preparing for the possible fall of the Syrian government.  There is evidence that Hezbollah is moving advanced weapons stored in Syria, back into Lebanon.

Syria is an ally of Hezbollah, and has allowed Hezbollah to store its advanced weapons in Syria, out of reach of the Israeli military.

There is a fear that if the Syrian government falls, Hezbollah might go to war with Israel.

Hezbollah praises Nakba protesters

“We must bow before the courage, the bravery, of those who protested yesterday at Lebanon and Syria’s borders with occupied Palestine, who faced the tyranny of the enemy with bare chests and their heads held high.”-Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah

Nasrallah also said: “…the fate of this entity (Israel) is demise, and that no initiatives, treaties or borders will protect it.”
