Black Horse & Political Incompetence: “Conservative Christian” Rick Perry spends $1.4 million in taxpayer money running for President, while Texas burns and people starve in Texas Prisons

I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

Texas Governor Rick Perry has spent at least $1.4 million of Texas taxpayer’s money on his campaign for President of the United States.  What’s the money being spent on? Security, travel, lodging and food!

“…what are they eating? How many people are there? $4,400 in one meal? Jesus, lord, mercy, how much food can you eat?”– Cenk Uygur, The Young Turks

Between just September and December of 2011, $400,000 of taxpayer funds went towards security.

Other expenses include $32,000 worth of lodging while in San Francisco, $4,400 dinner tab in Simi Valley and $6,400 for a flight out of San Diego!

To add insult to taxpayer injury, ‘christian’ Rick Perry and his cohorts cut funding for Texas firefighters, right at a time when almost the whole state of Texas was burning (then he tried to blame Obama for not helping Texas fight the fires!).  Also, he cut funding for Texas prisons so drastically that they now get the equivalent of only two meals per day (welcome to the United Police States of America)!

Perry tried to justify the charging of his campaign expenses to the Texas taxpayers: “I’m going to be promoting Texas. I’m going to be traveling to places where the Texas story needs to be told, and we will tell it.”-Rick Perry

What Economic Recovery? So much for christian Rick Perry’s job creation record: Texas lays off nearly 1,000 teachers

September 29, according to the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, last month Texas fired 900 people from education related jobs.

It’s part of the U.S.$4 billion in cuts to Texas public schools, that Governor Rick Perry approved this year!

As an example of how bad it’s getting in Texas; near Austin, two newly built schools are empty this year because the Leander school district can’t afford to put teachers in them.

False christian Rick Perry a Poverty Miser?

“There are parts of Texas that are doing well. And there is a tremendous number of Texans, more than Perry has ever wanted to acknowledge, that are doing very, very poorly.”-Miguel Ferguson, University of Texas

Texas Governor Rick Perry likes to claim having created jobs for Texans, but he’s also to blame for increasing the poverty rate!

In the past two years Texas has created 40% of new U.S. jobs, but also has the fastest growing poverty rate in the whole country. That means most of those new jobs are not paying enough to cover the basic cost of living.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics about 550,000 workers last year were paid at, or even below, the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour!

According to the U.S. Census Bureau the national average poverty rate is 15.1%, and as of 2010 the poverty rate in Texas is 18.4%.

The main reason for the poverty; Perry’s so called job creation isn’t happening fast enough: “The middle class are losing their jobs and are not able to replace them fast enough. That’s driving them straight into poverty.”-Bradley Manning, Texas Neighborhood Services

To make matters worse, Texas has one of the worst social service programs in the country: “We don’t have the support system in place to provide economic support or economic opportunity to help families lift themselves out of poverty.” said Frances Deviney, Center for Public Policy Priorities

Finally, Texans are wondering where their Christian governor Rick Perry has gone to, while they burn in hell

September 9, some Texans yelled at Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst when he visited hard hit Bastrop County, asking where Perry is and why they haven’t had any help!

Why ‘christian’ Rick Perry is out campaigning for President of the United States, don’t they know?

Nearly 1,400 homes have been destroyed by fire in Bastrop County alone.

Perry did issue a response through his office: “…everything that needs to be done to respond to these fires is being done.”

Do we really want Rick Perry as President of the United States?

United Police States of America: Audience cheers Christian governor Rick Perry’s Texas execution record, support the fight against these false christians

On September 7, moderator Brian Williams opened up a question for Governor Perry by first reminding him that his state has executed 234 men under his watch, a bodycount much greater than any other governor, but before Williams could get to his question, the crowd broke into applause to laud Perry for his accomplishment.

“Have you struggled to sleep at night with the idea that any one of those might have been innocent?” Williams asked Perry.

“No sir,” responded the ‘christian’ governor Rick Perry, “I’ve never struggled with that at all.”

Now realize that Texas has executed innocent people!  Which makes these Texas ‘christians’ even more sick in the head!

Other Texans are going to make sure everyone knows that innocent people have been executed under ‘christian’ Rick Perry’s watch:  The 12th Annual March to Abolish the Death Penalty is October 22, in Austin at the Texas Capitol.

Christian governor Rick Perry slashed and burned funding for Texas firefighters to save money, now Texas is buring to the ground at a cost of $5 billion+!

Texans are suffering the worst fires in Texas history.  Did you know that Governor Rick Perry slashed the state firefighting budget by 75%?

Earlier in 2011 Perry said he was planning on slashing funding for the volunteer fire department from $30 million down to $7 million!  Back in May, Forest Service Director Tom Boggus told Reuters that volunteer programs were the number one defense against wild fires.  Despite this, the Texas Forest Service is expected to see $34 million in cuts over the next two years, no thanks to Rick Perry.

Rick Perry recently tried to blame Obama for lack of funding for Texas firefighters: “It is not only the obligation of the federal government, but its responsibility under law to help its citizens in times of emergency.”

Perry’s cronies say their cuts are necessary to save money: “We understand the difficulty they have had in dealing with almost unprecedented numbers of fires this year. We also understand that in order to balance the budget, everybody needs to endure some reductions.”-Talmadge Heflin, Center for Fiscal Policy/Texas Public Policy Foundation

But get this, the ‘savings’ in cuts to Texas firefighting services have been totally negated by the cost of this year’s ongoing fires.   So far damages are estimated to be $5 billion, and counting!

And yet the historic fires of Texas aren’t enough to stop ‘christian’ Rick Perry from campaigning for President of the United States!

Evil Bank of America secretly tells Rick Perry he’s their man, but it’s caught on a live microphone

“Bank of America, we will help you out.”-BofA official as he quickly brushed passed Texas Governor Rick Perry.

The BofA official thought no one heard, but a live CSPAN mic picked up the hushed comment.

The bank official was identified as James Mahoney, Bank of America’s director of public policy.  BofA claims they did nothing wrong, because Mahoney is a democrat, and Perry is a republican.

Texas Christian Governor Rick Perry is a Porn Kingpin?

Independent journalists have been tracking down where Texas Governor Rick Perry made his fortunes.  Turns out one of his early investments was in one of the biggest porn video distributors, Movie Gallery.

That was back in 1995, so some Perry supporters will likely try to defend it as something that happened in the past, and he should be forgiven.

The problem is that as recently as 2006, Governor Perry actually pushed for legislation that protected Movie Gallery, and other porn companies, from lawsuits.  Clearly he’s still involved in the Texas porn industry.

On one hand Perry claims to be for Christian family values, he even has support of the Christian organization American Family Association, while on the other hand is clearly making money off the porn industry.  To make things even stranger, the American Family Association is actively trying to shut down the very porn distributor that Perry is invested in.

And don’t think Perry’s personal financial activities aren’t affecting what happens in his administration.  Here’s what a Texas newspaper said, in 2010, about Perry’s state Film Commissioner, Bob Hudgins: “Gov. Rick Perry’s outgoing director of the Texas Film Commission has been allowed to stay on the job despite being disciplined for sexual harassment in 2009 and after a subsequent investigation found similar behavior again this year.”-The Statesman
