Somehow a pregnant deer got trapped among the craggy rocks along the Manistee River shoreline, in Michigan.
Today, a group of taxpayer funded U.S. Coast Guard personnel were on their way to a training event when they spotted something odd moving among the rocks. It was a pregnant deer.
The taxpayer funded first responders put their training day to good use, rescuing the stuck deer and releasing it in a nearby field. The deer has scarring on its belly from where its fur was rubbed off during its own effort to escape the potentially deadly grip of stone.
