On 02FEB2021, the North Dakota National Guard announced that its 835th Engineer Utilities Detachment is deploying to somewhere in The Middle East during Summer 2021.
It is the first overseas mobilization for the 835th Engineer Utilities Detachment. But it’s not the first time North Dakota engineers were given deployment notification. In November 2010 they were told to prep for deployment (location was never made public), but in June 2011 that deployment was cancelled.
