The 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team (aka Snake River Brigade, one of my military alma maters) is Idaho’s largest Army National Guard unit. The brigade is located in more than 20 Idaho communities as well as units in Montana, Nevada and Oregon.  The 2-116th Cavalry Regiment is headquartered in Caldwell with units in Emmett and Nampa.

In February 2023, the 2-116th Cavalry Regiment took part in what is called Dragon Defender 2023, on Camp Buehring in Kuwait.  It wasn’t just the Idaho Army National Guard, the 272nd Chemical Company-79th Troop Command of the Massachusetts Army National Guard was also present: “I love CBRN [Chemical Biological Radioactive Nuclear]. I love that it’s not just one thing; there are so many aspects to it. It’s not just putting on your gas mask and going to a CS [Crowd Suppression gas, aka tear gas] chamber or checking your mask.”-Warrant Officer Kelly Osmon, Massachusetts Army National Guard

Dragon Defender included Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) training, specifically involving mounted reconnaissance, extraction and decontamination of victims.  WMD also includes explosives, and the Arizona Army National Guard was there to cover that aspect: “Being EOD [Explosive Ordinance Disposal], our job is to clear the scene of any explosive hazards. A lot of scenarios with CBRN weapons there will be booby traps or dispersal devices with explosives in them. That’s our forte.”-Specialist Tyler Blackmore, 363rd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company-158th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Arizona Army National Guard

Vehicle I-D: M93 Fox NBCRSV, Cold War & beyond

Cold War: Approximately 1947 (due to U.S. President Harry Truman’s Truman Doctrine) to 1991 (Operation Desert Storm, collapse of Soviet Union).

The M93 NBCRSV/NBCRV (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Reconnaissance System Vehicle) was first pseudo-secretly unveiled during the last Cold War battle known as Desert Storm.  It was based on the West German Transportpanzer Fuchs, which began service with that NATO country in 1979 (after more than a decade of development).  The U.S. Army’s development of the M93 Fox was the result of a decision in 1976 to restart a dedicated NBC organization.

In 1988, the XM93 began its developmental teething pains on Fort Stewart, Georgia.  It progressed to XM93E1 phase, then in June 1995 was approved for upgrade to M93A1 (aka Block 1 upgrade), the A1 upgrade was completed in October 1998 (the official year it began service despite being used during Desert Storm in 1991), finally upgraded to M93A1P1 (‘up-armored’ and .50cal Remote Weapons Station) in 2007. There is a newer M93A1P2 variant, however, eventually all M93s will be replaced by the new Stryker NBCRSV.

In April 1996, the U.S. Marine Corps created its own Chemical Biological International Reaction Force (CBIRF).  In 1997, the CBIRF held its first wargame in which they put their new M93s (modified German Fuchs) to the test.

By the end of 1997, there were only four M93A1s operating in the Western U.S. There was a concern that U.S. Marines on Twentynine Palms, California, would not recognize the M93A1 as a U.S. vehicle, so photos were issued including night vision photos.

Majority of U.S. citizens say Corporate America is to blame for bad economy. The bell tolls for Bank of America and Fox News?

In the latest survey by Harris Interactive, 78% of people blame the bad economy on Corporate America (and Corporate Britain).

The annual Harris Interactive Reputation Quotient poll is a measure of how consumers view corporations.  So far the main stream media has only mentioned the good points of the poll, like Apple surging ahead of Google regarding a positive image among consumers.

What the main stream corporate controlled media isn’t reporting is that only 22% of those surveyed have a overall good impression of Corporate America!

Also, the survey is a warning sign for major banks.  According to reports, AIG, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America are on the Harris poll’s critical list, because they ranked as low as Enron, Adelphia and WorldCom, right before those later companies went out of business.

Other companies that scored poorly were BP (British Petroleum), JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and News Corp (owners of Fox News).

Conservative Reganomics Economist says Republican supporters are Stupid when it comes to Taxes and the Economy

Bruce Bartlett, former Reagan and Bush Sr official, has published a new book called The Benefit and the Burden: Tax Reform – Why We Need It and What It Will Take.  But guess what? He says the wealthy have been getting huge tax cuts for decades, and that’s part of what put the federal government into record debt!

He also says, in an interview with Bill Moyers, that right wing Republicans are stupid when it comes to understanding how much taxes they really pay, and how taxes really work:  “Back when the Tea Party first came into existence, back in 2009 they had a big demonstration in Washington. And we went around and we surveyed…You know, questions of just straight factual knowledge, not opinion. And it turned out that these people all thought taxes were vastly higher than they really are, and that they were paying exorbitantly high tax rates that would be impossible for them to pay.”

Bartlett also says the right wingers are stupid religious nuts: “…it’s very much like religion. And I think that it’s not a surprise that so many very, you know, devout Christians are a part of the Republican Party and accept a lot of this. Because the nature of deep religious belief is faith, which means you accept things for which there is no proof. And so, I think it’s not that hard to shift that faith over to believe …That if you cut taxes, revenues will go up…That all tax cuts are good and all spending cuts are good, and all government is bad.”

He blames Right Wing radio and Fox News: “You hear the same idea over and over again. Or you can call it propaganda if you like. It’s broadly believed and people just keep saying these things all the time, that ‘Rich people create jobs.’ ‘Yes, rich people create jobs.’ ‘They’re motivated primarily by taxation.’ ‘Yes, they’re motivated by taxation.’ ‘We must cut their taxes.’ ‘Yes, we must cut their taxes.’”

“Year after year after year of people watching Fox News and listening to talk radio, had conditioned them in advance to believe that the government is responsible for all of our problems.”

Bartlett says once enough stupid Tea Party members realize it’s their own Republican officials who are doing them in, they’ll Join the Occupy Movement: “…once they start to realize that the Republicans really do want to not just cut Medicare, but essentially abolish it, you know, I just think those people are not going to be part of the Tea Party. They’re going to be over with the Occupy Wall Street.”

Red Horse: 62 year old man suffered hellish death at the hands of Florida NAZI-land cops, all for being drunk! Ghost of Abu Ghraib

Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other.

“This photo is a picture of a man who is strapped to a chair naked inside a jail for hours with a hood over his face. That evokes thoughts of being tortured.”-Nick DiCello, attorney

About two and a half years ago a distraught Ohio man decided to take a break and visit his brother in Florida.  Like many tourists in Florida, he liked to drink alcohol.  He got arrested for being drunk, and 48 hours later he was dead.

Florida’s District 21 Medical Examiner ruled his death was a “Homicide (restrained and sprayed with pepper spray by law enforcement officers)”.

But under Florida law a homicide does not necessarily mean it was a criminal act, and every NAZI cop involved was cleared by Florida courts.

This event came into public view, not just because of the medical examiner’s report, but because some good cops found the whole thing disgusting and told, and they have photographic evidence.

Monshay Gibbs, a deputy trainee at the jail at the time, testified against the cops: “Did Christie have a spit mask [cop talk for gag] on?”-court

“Yeah.”-Monshay Gibbs

Could you see that he was, was he naked?”-court

Yes he was”-Monshay Gibbs
“Completely naked?”-court
“Completely naked.”-Monshay Gibbs

A local Florida Fox TV news affiliate broke the story.  They revealed that the 62 year old man was gagged, strapped to a chair naked and repeatedly sprayed with pepper spray (at least ten times) over a 48 hour period.

The man also had medical conditions.  His wife says she called and begged police to consider his conditions and take him to the hospital.  They refused, until it was too late.  In the homicide investigation, the NAZI cops said they were unaware of any medical conditions until after they killed the guy.

A retired Florida cop says that pepper spray is not supposed to be used after you restrain someone: “The purpose is to incapacitate the person temporarily, that’s the key word, long enough so that you can restrain them.”-Tom Depolis, retired cop

“So you don’t pepper spray them when they are restrained?”-reporter

No, that would be ridiculous while they are restrained.”-Tom Depolis, retired cop

You can watch the Fox news report, with the abu Ghraib like pics,  here.

If you think things are bad now, just imagine how things are gonna get since President Barack Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, allowing the indefinite detention and torture of U.S. citizens!

What Econmic Recovery? Fox cuts ties with Idaho TV station, ends local newscasts, Merry Xmas!

Southwestern Idaho’s KRTV, channel 12, is no longer a Fox affiliate, and it has ended its Boise area news coverage.

“In the spring of 2011, the Fox Television Network and Block Communications parted company. Although we did offer to sign a new affiliation agreement with Fox for KTRV, they chose to move the affiliation to another station.  A network affiliate requires a different business model than does an independent station.  As a result a reduction in staff is taking place this week.”-Bill Lamb, Block Communications

General manager of KRTV, Rick Joseph, said “We have some exceptional people here who put forth a terrific and honorable effort every day.  But the new business model we find ourselves having to adopt does not include news.”

Employee layoffs began December 5.

Merry Xmas!

Mitt’s Mystery Money NOT explained by latest admissions, Romney is just more Washington DC BS

Once upon a time, very recently, candidate for U.S. president Mitt Romney got three donations from three companies that were created solely to give Mitt Romney money.

The main stream media is focusing on a now defunct company named W Spann LLC.  The property owner, where the company was supposedly located in New York, says no such company ever took up residence.

Now a man named Ed Conard comes forward and says he created W Spann LLC for the sole purpose of giving Mitt Romney money.  Conrad “closed” down his company immediately after giving Romney the money.  Why would you need to create a fake company to give someone money?

But this is just the tip of the iceberg, and the mainstream media seems to be ignoring the rest of the iceberg.  The fact is that one of Romney’s super PACs called “Restore our Future” (an oxymoron of a title) got three, not one, but three mysterious million dollar contributions from three mysterious companies.

Ed Conrad claims he’s the creator of one of those companies, W Spann LLC.  The other two are in Provo, Utah.

Interestingly the two companies in Utah have the same address.  One company is known as Eli Publishing L.C., the other company is called F8 LLC.

Eli Publishing L.C. was founded by Steven J Lund.  The address is 86 N University Ave Suite 420 Provo, Utah 84601.  A local Fox news affiliate (Fox 13), in Provo, caught up with Lund and asked him why he created a company to give Mitt Romney money.  Lund said there were accounting advantages in donating money to politicians through a corporation.

F8 LLC was founded by Jeremy S Blickenstaff. The address is 86 N University Ave Suite 420 Provo, Utah 84601.  Blickenstaff is refusing to talk to the media.

Fox 13 news says they went to the address and found an accounting company at Suite 420, who’s employees claim to have no connection to Eli Publishing L.C., or F8 LLC.   What Fox news didn’t point out is that the address, 86 N University Ave, is also the location of one of several Wells Fargo banks in Provo.

The corporate info on the companies can be found at utah.gov.  There are other companies using the name Eli Publishing, so don’t confuse them.

The real issue here is that a politician named Mitt Romney wants to be elected president, on the grounds that there needs to be change in Washington DC (the usual reason), and that his experience with business finance makes him the right choice.  But the problem in Washington DC is money, how it’s used, how it’s acquired, the corruption and shady deals.  That’s why this country is facing financial disaster.  Yet Mitt Romney has no problem with supporters setting up fake shady corporations for the sole purpose of donating shady mystery money to his campaign?

Sounds like with Mitt Romney you get the same ol’ Washington DC BS.

Official complaints have been filed with the Federal Election Commission, and the U.S. Department of Justice.
