On Top of Ol’ Smokey, no more?

24 OCT 2017 (14:32 UTC-07 Tango 06)  02 Aban 1396/03 Safar 1439/05 Geng-Xu (9th month) 4715

U.S. Army Caisson Platoon, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) at the Caisson Stables, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Virginia, forced one of its most dedicated personnel to retire after only 15 years of service.

Smokey, a Caisson horse, is retiring after taking part in 4-thousand funerary missions!

Caisson horses are those used by the U.S. Army to pull Caissons, which are converted old-school artillery wagons that carry caskets of important dead people.

When a Caisson horse is about to retire it goes up for adoption, apparently for free!  Smokey was adopted by a family in Tennessee.

False Flag: 1ST ever U.S. PANZERFRÄULEIN assassinated in Idaho?

23 SEP 2017 (13:06 UTC-07 Tango 06) 01 Mehr 1396/02 Muharram 1439/04 Ji-Yu 4715

An investigation into the mysterious fire, that claimed the life of the first female M1A1 Abrams tanker in U.S. history, concluded it was the result of an explosion.

The fire happened on 30 JUN 2017, at the Tamarack Resort in Idaho.  Four people were killed; Master Sergeant Erin Smith and her daughter, another Idaho Guardsmen James Harper and his son.  Smith’s husband survived.

The investigators say the fireplace in the resort cabin was at one time fueled by propane.  It was converted to wood fuel but for some reason the propane line was left in place, and apparently still flowing the gas.  However, they’re calling it an accident.  No comment was made concerning who converted the fireplace from propane to wood fuel.

Harvey: Georgia Army deploys, knew it was coming!

“In the last month we have trained for this and many other scenarios. We are trained and ready to help in any way we can. An Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise is designed to exercise the movement plans of a unit to deploy with little time to prepare . All deployable units normally participate in an EDRE annually. If executed realistically, an EDRE can be the most valuable evaluation process for commanders to determine their strengths and weaknesses in a deployment. Having recently completed this training we knew exactly our shortfalls and how to adapt and overcome them. I’m humbled to be their commander and i’m glad my Soldiers will have a direct impact on bringing relief to the people of Texas.”-Captain Alyca Waldrop, C Company commander

Harvey: U.S. Army North in command

“We are prepared to help the State of Texas and FEMA with saving lives. So far they have done a great job responding to the needs of the people, but the weather isn’t breaking so we will stay vigilant and increase our posture to assist as needed.”-Lieutenant General Jeffrey S. Buchanan

Red Neck ObamaCare Fail: U.S. Army deployed on Economic Mission in Texas!

In the ‘right-wing’-conservative-Christian-oil-rich state of Texas the United States Army has been deployed on an economic mission in an area known as Colonias.

It’s a joint operation with Texas A&M University known as Colonias Innovative Readiness Training.  Not only are infrastructure problems being dealt with, but, and despite the advent of ObamaCare (ACA), free medical clinics are held for Texas who still don’t have ObamaCare mandated health insurance!

But this isn’t the first time the U.S. Army has been called in to help supposedly fiercely independent Texans. In 2016, a free clinic in Rio Grande Valley was swamped by people who are not benefiting from ObamaCare.

Mama’s Fried Chicken! In Hot as Hell Mojave-land NTC?

Actually, during non-Summer months the high temps at Fort Irwin, California, aren’t that bad.  In the Gregorian month of May the average high temperature is 28C (83F).  A record high temp for May hit 42C (107F).  Back in 1998 I went to NTC with Idaho’s 116th Armored Cav (as a 13F with the 148th FA BN), and unfortunately it was during the hottest time of the year when the average high temp is around 38C (100F), and record highs hit 46C (114F)!  By the way, 1998 was one of those record setting years for high temps.

In 2014, TV personality Gordon Ramsay videoed the biggest cooking challenge of the show MasterChef at Fort Irwin, California.

Currently the Illinois, Kanasa and Mississippi National Guards are doing a three weeks ‘rotation’ at NTC, started right before the Memorial weekend.  What’re they going to eat?  Supposedly you get two yummy (not) MREs and a hot meal per day (reality is you could go days without a hot cooked meal). But Mississippi’s Militia cooks boast they’re up to the job of providing at least one hot cooked meal per day for the 3-thousand-8-hundred-plus Militia personnel on the current rotation, even going as far as optimistically promising Sergeant First Class ‘Mama’ Jackson’s fried chicken:

Pittsburgh asks Army Reserve for water!

“How much purified water can one of your water purification units produce to distribute to the public?”-City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety

04 APR 2017 meeting between Pittsburgh admin and U.S. Army Reserve commanders

Just days ago the city of Pittsburgh asked the U.S. Army Reserve 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) to provide logistical information about water purification.

Not much info has been made public about the meeting, other than city administrators are concerned about the loss of city water services due to a potential ‘disaster’.
