They’re deploying for Operation Spartan Shield at Camp Arifjan, in Kuwait. Operation Spartan Shield-Task Force Spartan is a never ending ‘security’ operation separate from Operation Inherent Resolve. It covers an area from Egypt to Pakistan, Kazakhstan to Yemen, and was ordered by Barack Obama in 2011.
