Harvey: 3 weeks later Rescue Recons continue!

Air and Army National Guard units from dozens of states deployed to Texas to deal with the aftermath of Harvey.  Some units have returned home, some were shifted to Florida when Irma hit, but even now Harvey Rescue Recon operations are still ongoing in Texas.

The Texas National Guard, along with civilian volunteers and municipal employees, operates warehouses where donations of supplies (that’s right, donations, not taxpayer funded stuff) are consolidated before distribution: “The amount of donations we receive is never consistent. Most nights we receive about two, but during the day we can receive anywhere from five to ten, sometimes even more.”-First Lieutenant Heather Seidl
