U.S. Civil War Chicago, 16 – 20 August 2014: “Everybody’s killing each other!” More death by cop! Pepper Spray is the new weapon?

Incomplete list:

13300 block of South Forrestville Avenue: Police shot and killed a 21 years old man riding a bike.  Police say they were responding to calls that there was a man with a gun on a bike.  It should be noted that the cops were in an unmarked undercover vehicle when they ‘responded’, which implies that the guy on the bike did not know they were police.  Police say when they spotlighted the man, he jumped off his bike and ran (which is stupid because you can move faster on the bike!).  Police claim that during the foot chase their victim pointed a gun at them, so they killed him.  News reports said about 50 residents gathered on the street after the summary execution and shouted at police.  40 uniformed and ‘plainclothes’ cops were called in to control the crowd.

1200 block of East 71st Street: Nine years old boy playing near train tracks was shot multiple times and killed.  Neighbors say the boy’s family had recently moved into the neighborhood.  A woman exclaimed in frustration “Everybody’s killing each other! I can’t even grasp no words to tell you how I’d feel, I’m gonna die!”  A 13 years old girl told a reporter that the kids don’t play in the park because “Too much shooting”.

800 block of South Central Park Avenue: 27 years old man found by police, he had been shot to death.  Police say they were responding to  a 911 call.  Police don’t care because they conveniently declared the victim to be a gangbanger.

900 block of North Karlov Avenue: Police found a 26 years old man who had been shot in the face and killed.

2300 block of North Springfield Avenue:  Three people in a car were shot, two of them (a teenaged boy and a man) were killed.  News reports say the shooter was standing on a sidewalk and blasted them (with what sounds like an illegal machine gun-full auto) as they drove by.

7800 block of South Winchester Avenue: A 16 years old girl and two men shot by two people in a “dark vehicle”.  One man was killed.

7200 block of South Laflin Street: 16 years old girl and 20 years old man shot by drive-by-shooter.  The girl was killed.  Police claim the girl was not being targeted.  How do they know that?  They don’t, they’re making an assumption because they accuse the male victim of being a gangbanger, saying he was “probably” the target!

3900 block of South Lake Park Avenue: Two teenaged boys shot and in critical condition.

7100 block of South Artesian Avenue: 33 years old man shot in the back and wounded.

600 block of North Spaulding Avenue: 30 years old man gut shot during an armed robbery.

7500 block of South Drexel Avenue: 20 years old man shot in the leg by two people in a grey van.  The victim took himself to the hospital.

7800 block of South Bennett Avenue: 22 years old man shot in the groin after getting in an argument with another man.

2400 block of North Kilbourn Avenue: 14 years old boy shot in the arm and wounded.  He says he did not see who shot him.

70th and Morgan streets: A 45 years old man and a 17 years old boy shot and wounded by drive-by-shooter.

11600 block of South Loomis Street: 23 years old man shot in the leg and wounded.

2900 block of North Kimball Avenue:  23 years old man shot in the foot.  Police are mad because the victim refuses to cooperate with them.

7900 block of South Merrill Avenue: Three men and a teenaged boy shot and wounded while standing in front of a house.  News reports say this makes the third time this year that people in front of the very same house have been shot at.  Apparently nobody ever sees who is doing the shooting.

8700 block of South Union Avenue: 24 years old man shot in the leg and butt.

6300 block of South Albany Avenue: 20 years old man shot in the leg, he says he never saw it coming.

51st Street and Wabash Avenue: 16 years old boy shot in the leg by a drive-by-shooter.

2400 block of West Adams Street: Two women in their 40s shot in separate incidents.  They walked themselves to a hospital.

1300 block of South Avers Avenue: 13 years old boy shot in the arm, “someone” dropped him at a hospital.  Reports say the victim and his brother were fighting three other boys when somebody pulled a gun and started shooting.

3700 block of South Wabash Avenue: 18 years old man shot in the butt by drive-by-shooter.

500 block of North Hamlin Avenue: 17 years old boy shot, condition unknown.

9800 block of Avenue L: A drive-by-shooter shot a 33 years old man in the chest, wounding him.

8500 block of South Exchange Avenue: 15 years old boy shot and wounded.  He did not see who shot him.

5000 block of South Rockwell Avenue: 23 people, including children, sprayed with a “foreign substance” and had to be hospitalized.  Fire Department officials suspect it might be pepper spray.  The victims were in a backyard celebrating 50th wedding anniversaries when somebody in the alley began spraying them.

It’s interesting that the police seem to know how most shootings went down, even though they weren’t present and most victims refuse to “cooperate”.  And yet, few arrests.

The majority of victims are male.  Police continue to insist most of the gun violence is caused by gangbangers, but have made few arrests. That’s because police believe most of the victims are also gangbangers.  Realize that police in metropolitan areas keep records of whose who in the local gangs, this how they know if a victim is a “documented gang member”.  This also means police probably know who the assailants are.  So why no arrests?

Once again, shooting victims were not armed, it’s as if the shooters are deliberately targeting unarmed people.  It also questions the police claims that the victims are gang members.  Wouldn’t they be armed?

New anti-gun laws would not stop the shootings, because most guns used in Chicago shootings are already illegal!

Now here’s something interesting: Notice police claim most of the victims of the shootings are gangbangers, and realize that it’s the families of those victimized gangbangers demanding all out police state gun bans!  Is that irony?
